Specialized Review of Hogller Pressure Transmitter - HOT series
Hogller pressure transmitter / HOT series, are among high quality pressure transmitters made in Germany, and they are suitable for pressure measurement of different kinds of liquids and gases compatible with stainless steel 304.

At the upper part of HOT pressure transmitters, there are four pins. Electrical connection of these series is DIN EN 175301-803 C (DIN 43650 C). This kind of connection adds IP65 protection standard to other features of HOT series.
At the lower part of the sensor, a thread pressure port for connection to the process is seen. As a whole, Hogller has considered two mechanical connections of 1/4" NPT and G 1/4" with DIN 3852-E for HOT series. Other kinds of mechanical connection are optionally available.

In G 1/4" mechanical connection, in order to have better sealing of the connecting part to the process, one FKM sealing washer (O-ring) that has been designed in line with DIN 3869, having high chemical and thermal resistance, is used.
There has not any silicon oil and internal sealing washer used in the internal construction of HOT series at all, and Gauge pressure (Relative) has been considered as reference pressure behind the diaphragm.
It is important to mention that HOT series are Sealed gauge. That means atmospheric pressure (about 1bar) as the reference pressure is surrounded behind the diaphragm (with no vent path for pressure to flow in or out). Thus, sensors output in zero point (without any pressure applied) is changeable by the changes in atmospheric conditions.
The latest ASIC technology, that includes excellent accuracy, and long term stability, is used in HOT series Piezoresistive sensing element, and brings various kinds of output signals for these series.
HOT series are available with different Pressure Ranges including Low Range, Vacuum, Compound and High Range.
These series are resistant to overpressure up to twice more than nominal pressure. They also are resistant to burst pressure up to five times more than nominal pressure. As a whole, we have the following points for these series:

HOT series, with current output (4 - 20 mA) and voltage outputs (0 - 10 VDC) and (0 - 5 VDC), are available. Other different kinds of output such as I²C and 0.5 - 4.5 VDC Ratiometric are optionally ready to deliver.
Accuracy in HOT series is equal to 0.5 % FS in room temperature (RT) and that includes Non-Linearity, Non-Repeatability, Hysteresis, Zero and Final Offset in accordance with IEC 61298-2.
In HOT series different permissible temperature conditions are defined for using the sensor, including:
Media Temperature: [-40 … +125] °C
Permissible temperature range of fluid related to sensor.
Ambient Temperature: [-40 … +105] °C
Permissible temperature range of installation area of sensor.
Storage Temperature: [-40 … +125] °C
Temperature range of sensor’s maintenance (being turned off)
Compensated Temperature: [-40 … +85] °C
Compensator temperature range in which sensors have the best function
